Dayara Christian Academy, in Bhatwari, Uttarkashi district of Uttrakhand, is one of the Project schools of Doon Bible College. DCA birthed in 1991 when a severe earthquake of magnitude 6.8 hit the region. About 1100 people died and 35000 houses were destroyed. In response, DBC faculty & students under the leadership of Dr. Jacob Chacko (former Principal, DBC) reached the area with emergency relief. Thereafter DCA was founded. The school continues to provide quality education to many children in Uttarkashi district.
Other Projects
Doon Bible College is always ready to respond to the need of the community. Time to time DBC conducts relief programs as an when the need arises. DBC also organizes, training programs for social workers to respond the need of the community.
